Ferenc Erkel Folk Dance Ensemble
Az együttes 1948-ban alakult. Tagjait saját gyer­mek-, if­jú­sá­gi és után­pót­lás-cso­port­ja­i­ban ne­ve­li tán­co­sok­ká.
Repertoárján háromféle műsor-össze­ál­lí­tás sze­re­pel.
  1. Az egész magyar nyelvterület folklórjából kí­ván íze­lí­tőt ad­ni a Magyar tá­jak cí­mű elő­adás, mely­ben a kü­lön­bö­ző táj­egy­sé­gek ere­de­ti nép­ha­gyo­má­nya­i­nak szín­pa­di fel­dol­go­zá­sai ta­lál­ha­tók meg.
  2. A Fölszállott a páva cí­met vi­se­lő, egye­dül­ál­ló tö­rek­vé­sű mű­sor a ma­gyar ze­ne klasszi­ku­sa­i­nak (Er­kel, Liszt, Bar­tók és Ko­dály) nép­ze­nei ih­le­té­sű mű­ve­i­re – nép­tánc-anya­nyel­ven – ké­szí­tett ko­re­o­grá­fi­á­kat so­ra­koz­tat föl.
  3. Az Arc és Álarc című prog­ram – az au­ten­ti­kus folk­lórt anya­nyelv­ként ér­tel­mez­ve – mai vi­lá­gunk gon­do­lat- és ér­zés­vi­lá­gát fo­gal­maz­za kor­sze­rű, ka­rak­te­res nép­tánc­mű­vek­be.
A tánc­kar­hoz au­ten­ti­kus és kom­po­nált ze­nét, va­la­mint ci­gány­ze­nét egya­ránt ját­szó ze­ne­kar kap­cso­ló­dik, de CD-kí­sé­ret­tel is le­het­sé­ges az elő­adás.
A fen­ti re­per­to­ár­ból más össze­ál­lí­tás is meg­old­ha­tó.
Eu­ró­pa majd min­den or­szá­gá­ban és más kon­ti­nen­se­ken is sze­re­pelt már az együt­tes. Jó né­hány te­le­ví­zi­ós fel­vétel ké­szült mű­so­ra­ik­ról Ame­ri­ká­ban, Auszt­ri­á­ban, Fran­ci­a­or­szág­ban, Hol­lan­di­á­ban, Ja­pán­ban, Ko­re­á­ban, Né­met­or­szág­ban, Por­tu­gá­liá­ban, Spa­nyol­or­szág­ban és Ma­gyar­or­szá­gon is.
Több ha­zai és nem­zet­kö­zi ver­se­nyen nyer­tek díjat, va­la­mint vég­le­ge­sen meg­kap­ták az Örö­kös Ki­vá­ló Együt­tes cí­met.
Mű­vé­sze­ti ve­ze­tő: Ga­lam­bos Ti­bor ko­re­o­grá­fus, több ha­zai és nem­zet­kö­zi mű­vé­sze­ti díj és ki­tün­te­tés bir­to­ko­sa. 		The Ensemble was founded in 1948 and has been named after the great classical composer of the Hungarian National Opera and the National Anthem of Hungary.
Its members are trained to dancers in groups of three different ages.
The Ensemble’s repertoire consists of three different programmes.
  1. The first programme, named Hungarian Regions offers a sample of Hungarian folklore both inside and beyond the borders of the country. Dance plays and other treatments based on original folk traditions can be found in this programme.
  2. The peacock has risen is the title of the second, peculiar offer. Hungarian classical music (inspired by folk music) gives the musical background of folk-dance choreographies.
  3. The third programme, Face and Mask composes the range of our lives’ emotions and thoughts – using authentic folklore as native language – into modern folk dance works full of characters.
Beside the dance ensemble, a band of musicians can be found who are able to play both traditional Hungarian folk and gipsy music. All offers can be realized without the band, in this case a CD player is needed.
From the above mentioned three offers other different programmes can also be reached.
Besides its Hungarian tours, the Ensemble has made guests performances in most countries of Europe and in some countries the other continents as well. Television programmes have been made of its performances in Austria, China, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, the United States, and in Hungary.
The Ensemble has won prizes in numerous Hungarian and international competitions and has been awarded the permanent title of Outstanding Ensemble.
